DAY 0: Sad to leave, excited to be on my way

So the day has come at last! And what a hectic day it was.

Being the Queen of Procrastination, of course I had left a bunch of things to be done on the last day..... things like packing, straightening my hair, getting ready, vacuum, doing a last load of laundry, installing a new mail-box, sowing some lawn seed, spraying the garden one last time with weed-killer... you know, things like that! And it was all going so well until installing the mail-box did not take the estimated 10 minutes but more like an hour as the drill would not fit into the mailbox to get to the screws with which to screw it to the fence. Oh fun! And then a bird flew into the garage and got itself in behind some stuff.... took nearly an hour to get that bird out.

Anyway, I am now at Wellington Airport, all checked in and ready.

Mandie dropped me off but could not stay long as Alexander has a chest infection and has to be taken to the doctor. Poor mite. I did not even get to say goodbye to my boys! Cannot take a chance given my issues lately.

Boarding for Auckland soon, so it is good-bye from this end. Talk to you soon from San Francisco.

The large bag (12.2kg) is check-in, the small one is (5kg) carry-on
