DAY 168 - 169: Bari

Bari is where I went after Matera, so that I could catch the train from there along the East Coast of Italy, all the way to Bologna. Actually I wanted to get to Germany but I just do not do trips that go on and on and on. I stop after a few hours, relax, look around etc and carry on the next day. So, between Matera and Fuessen, I stopped off in Bari for 2 nights, Bologna and Muenchen for one night each and then on to Fuessen. A few photos of Bari.

A piece of Roman road that has been dug up. Under the large white stones (with waggon wheel marks), they found another layer of smaller stones that had been an even older road surface.
